Go to Best Buy and Get a Gateway, make sure it has at least Vista Home Premium, not Basic, they are reliable, and cheap. it comes with a one year warranty, if you want longer, be sure to contact gateway before the one year and you can extend it two more years for about 200 dollars, or one year for about 100 dollars.
last time I checked too, if you sign up for comcast Internet right at the best buy you save 100 on your purchase.
