You think you did but you didn’t. Because you use spybot and it only removes some traces of it, use TR Trojan Remover, I pwnt it that way.
I tried Spyware Doctor, Avast, Spybot, vundofix (Designed to remove Virtumonde) NONE worked.
So What I did is I constantly ran TR Trojan Remover, and I did a startup scan and it found a hidden system startup .dll, I deleted that/renamed it and it went away.
And there’re websites charging $90 to get rid of it LMFAO.
I wish I practiced this, but the system restore went back to where vundo is still there.
It took me like a week of running different freeware to resolve this, and it didn’t work. Nice work because I ended up using the steps you did on my own.
yes that what the virus does it changes system restore to only when the virus is there
help….help me!!!my pc attacked Win32/Adware.Virtumonde,VBS:Malware-gen a few minutes ago and i have avast but it doesnt work. i tried to open the Windows Task Manager to use my run and open the files but its disabled already.what should i do…needs your help pleaseeee!!!!!

I paid the $89 and about 1 1/2 hours later I was virus free. They also cleaned up a few things on my computer that were unnecessary. Thanks guys!
My PC caught this virus and I did exactly as suggested here. Restored my PC to an earlier date and it seems to have resolved itself. This bug prevents you using Google and Yahoo search which was very annoying, not to mention the pop-ups which drove you insane! Try the same if you haven’t already. Of course you’ll lose anything installed after your restore date but it’s worth the fix. Good luck!

spybot search and destroy does not get ridd of it it just makes u think that.download spyware doctor and scan and u will se that it is still there stronger than ever.
i got vundo.285 virtumonde, and i got rid of it. ty norman

just got this virus yesterday, and i need to know if i should be in safemode…
video won’t even play for me because virtumonde is killing it. Only way that works i can promise is to save everything you want on some dvd-r’s or flash drives, and do an entire system restore.
Don’t go to fpsbanana, you cs:s’rs. That’s where i got mine, downloading skins for my counter-strike source. Now my entire album i was recording has to be done from scratch and i was almost finished.
I tied this to get rid of the virus that istalled itself on my computer yesterday and after the reboot there were no icons on my desck top and no tool bar!!!!
i found out the best way to remove MS Juan/MS Tracker/ Virtuemonde is to disconnet any “online port” you have to the internet. Run your anitvirus etc. scan your computer get rid of it, then reboot. Or manually delete them(while offline), press Start/Run insert “regedt32″ click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, find Microsoft open tab then look for MS Juan/MS Tracker delete those. I also note that if you see “contim” that is a spyware and it must be removed.
