I keep getting prompted to scan for virus. I have Norton installed but it doesn’t find anything. I just re-imaged this pc running Windows XP, can anyone suggest a good cleanup tool before I re-image again?

I have drive C,D and E..but only i want to reformate my C drive…..But how can i get the program which now formated…it rebuiild in windows XP CD..or i ve to manage all the driver software ?

How much should I charge to install windows xp s3, ms office, arobat read, avg anti virus and then diagnose the hardware for 7 laptops? (Note: They provide me all the software needed) So what is the ideal price for labor?

I have no protection and I have Windows xp pro anti-virus that keeps popping up. How do I remove it without doing a total restore?

Well once i log into Windows XP, I pretty much can’t use anything because of the spam and viruses. If I try to open an application it won’t allow me to use. So is there anyway i could i could remove the spam and virus without having to login to windows?
I also have documents that i need to retrieve from my computer so if there’s anyway i could that too that would be great!
another problem is i don’t have a cd-rom drive on my computer but i do have usb connections

In computer class, my teacher told us that all data stored in the hard disk or any long-term storage device is magnetic. So I’m guessing that virus is magnetic too. Is this true? And if it’s true, will it remove the virus? Sure it’ll vacuum up other files but I have the installation disk. I can re-install my windows xp again.

My other computer got the brontok.a virus and now cant get past loading the background for any of the users(it cant load the start bar or any windows or icons). It is a windows xp, so would i be able to delete the virus. I have a windows vista laptop so maybe i could remove it remotely using that.

I need to use a hard drive with windows XP on from an old laptop in a newer laptop. The newer laptop does not recognize the hard drive from the old laptop. How can I get the laptop to recognize the old laptops hard drive?

The hard drive from the newer laptop does not work properly so I want to use the hard drive from an old laptop that already has windows XP installed on it (drivers will not be a problem).

The hard drive does work and should work in the old laptop.

Virus Protector somehow got on my laptop and I cannot remove it. I’m on Windows XP SP2.
