1.I have windows XP.
2.I just cleaned up my pc and it is fast.
3.I use antivirus microsoft security essentials.
4.I have already tried “malwarebytes”, and “Spybot – Search & Destroy”
5.All of above software were found some spyware and virus, and I did remove them, but the problem still exists.
6.I get search engine redirect randomly. It is not all the time.

i have windows xp and my macafee antivirus blocks a few trojans everyday that are from this folder. i have run virus scans but it wont detect anything. the symptoms of this virus are that i cannot install the malicious software removal tool from microsoft, and that auto updates for both macafee and windows are turned off. My other computer running Windows XP got a virus. Most programs won’t open or won’t work. System Restore doesn’t work, the virus won’t let any anti-virus software open, and I can’t boot the computer in safe mode. I have the Windows XP recovery disc but I’m not sure how to use it or if it’ll fix it. How can I remove the virus?
I can’t run malwarebytes. It won’t open.
I got this virus that says it’s antivirus software and it won’t close out of. Whenever I try to close out of it or access the control panel this box pops up telling me I need to run the virus scan. I also can’t access the Internet. It tells me access is denied. I have a paper on there that I need. It’s a Sony vio with windows xp. Any suggestions to get this stupid virus off that won’t cost me? I have Kaspersky Antivirus trial version, which detected and removed this virus from all (about 300) other locations(E:\, F:\ etc…)
Now it has detected the same virus "Virus.Win32.Sality.q" in 2 files of C:\Program Files\System 32 directory. And it says that it is unable to disinfect it. It gives an option to delete that file. But as u know, deleting (and even replacing it from somewhere else) any system file can cause the PC faliure to unboot as well as corruption of windows xp. so friends, can u tell me some easy or simple method to manually remove that virus from thos 2 files without formatting and reinstalling the windows???
