I have heard that quad cores are coming but they will only be installed in desktop replacements. Im looking more for the 15.4″ style of laptops.
Is quad core really that much better than dual core?
Will the next processor be noticably better than dual core?
When will they be ready for installation and sale?
Is it worth waiting for?

I’d rather not have one of those tiny little laptops that a lot of people use in college but just a normal-small sized one with a decent amount of space on it.

I’m thinking of the Vostro A90, or the Inspiron 15 (not counting the netbooks). These are computers that are in the 300-400 dollar range…yet I had to notebook shop not more than 4 months ago and these were nowhere to be seen.
What’s with all the new, cheap laptops? Are they any good?

On the old Mac laptops there’s something on there that allows you to type something in and it will say it in a monotone voice. Is it possible to take that and put it on my HP NX7400 laptop?
