i have a built in webcam on my acer laptop and i read this book called laptops for dummies and it says that i need a software to activate my cam and use it. what software do i need. the built in webcam didnt come with any instruction or discs about it. my webcam is called youcam and i have windows 7. how do i activate it.

I’m a senior in high school and I’m looking for a laptop for college next year. I’d basically be using it for word, excel, those kinds of ‘office’ programs, itunes, pictures, and videos, and a webcam would be nice too. So, nothing really specific. I have no preference either mac or pc would be fine. Are there any websites that have reviews of many different kinds of laptops to help with my selection?

i dont want to pay to much for it maby one for $350-$450 if thats not possible just the cheapest one. it doesnt have to b hight tech i just want to do simple stuff, aim, facebook, some games video chat and just look stuff up on the internet, u no the basics. Thanks

Basically, I had a laptop, and it broke because all of the stuff I put on it.
So I’m probably going to get a new one but it HAS to be cheap and with a built in webcam.
- It can be $250-$510
- Needs a built in webcam
- Can’t be smaller the 12 inches
