How to add a 2nd Hard Drive or SSD to an HP Laptop equipped with two internal HDD bays such as the HP dv7, dv7t (including the dv7-4000 and dv7-5000, dv7tqe, dv7-6000) series, dv8, HDX-18, Envy 17. These laptops oftentimes come from the factory with only one drive installed and one internal bay that’s empty.
