Now is the official You may read this article yesterday, well, now it is official and it is not trifles Nvidia has dished out. Two new products are now official: GeForce GTX 570m and GTX 580 (the latter replaces GTX 485M). Both video cards will only be found in the Alienware M18x, M17x and MSIs GT870R. Run two cards at once 580 is a bit of a performance monster, especially if you run it in SLI. SLI is to connect two video cards together so that the performance in many cases almost doubled. Both cards are made with 40nm technology for the lowest possible heat, as well as the best performance and battery life. Lasts five hours in Facebook Nvidia claims 580m will be able to keep it going, with batterioptimalserings software Optimus enabled, for five hours when using Facebook (?!). Not that Facebook is somehow the reason to fork out for a machine with 580m GTX in SLI, so there is NOK best to have the plug in the vicinity.
Ok my daughter wants a laptop for christmas. She really wants a mac but I don’t have the money to afford that right now. I like dell computers and I think a good dell or maybe toshiba laptop would be good for her, all she really is going to use it for is to download music on itunes and use the web.
Is there a laptop out that isn’t a piece of crap but is at an ok price. I was hoping around 200 – 300
at most maybe 400.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

My hubby builds and repairs computers, and when he went to check out this computer for a client, he liked it so much he purchased one for his parents! It’s got everything a student would need, it’s just an off brand processor from what I understand. Also never estimate buying used, as long as you take it somewhere to get checked out first, just like you would a car. )
I am selling my drum set that i didn’t really use. ( I just never really got interested) on craigslist, and i was wondering if there was anyplace i could get a good laptop for cheap.
Fry’s is awesome! But right now their selection of Laptops is low because they are waiting for the release of windows 7. I need to buy a new one right away.
Im looking for a laptop under $450 with a min. of these requirements; CD/DVD drive, 1GB RAM, 60GB hard drive; 12.5″ screen; & built in wifi connector. thank youuu
i don’t know which is better, a light laptop or a netbook. i like the concept of the lightness of the netbook, but a laptop has more features. which is better because the laptop i have right now is pretty heavy, at least 6 to 7 pounds, and i dont want to carry that around while i’m at school for long periods of time.
