I got this virus that says it’s antivirus software and it won’t close out of. Whenever I try to close out of it or access the control panel this box pops up telling me I need to run the virus scan. I also can’t access the Internet. It tells me access is denied. I have a paper on there that I need. It’s a Sony vio with windows xp. Any suggestions to get this stupid virus off that won’t cost me? Yesterday I accessed a keylogger virus without knowing it. I dont have Norton or anything so all I could do is run free scans, which arent helping my situation at all. My question is, if I reboot my computer to lets say 1 week back, will that get rid of the keylogger?

If not, how can I remove this keylogger? Thanks in advance.

I believe that I have a virus on my computer. One of my computer geek friends says that it is possible to find and remove virus’s by going on to task manager, and then processes. I don’t know files could be virus’s so i would really appreciate it if anyone could give me names of virus files i could look for.

Can somebody explain me the procedure of sharing data between two laptops one having Vista and other having XP both using wireless and using ethernet crossover cable ? Also, can we connect the two using straight ethernet cable and what extra effort would be required for that ? Please provide the full procedure.

Found a Windows Virus warning msg on my desktop after I accidentally click on a virus file. It also removed my screen saving function from the control panel. Wonder how I can recover it and also remove the warning msg. Thanks in advance for your kind reply.

I want to know how many laptops are allowed per head when we are travelling from US to India. I have to carry two laptops with me. So can some one tell me, if it is allowed to carry more than one laptop? I doubt if the US customs or India customs will object if I carry two. If it is not allowed, can you suggest me how I can bring those two laptops to India? Thanks in advance.
