I need a laptop that works well but costs about $300 or less. What kind should I get and where?

I need some arguments for and against schools giving their students their own laptops for homework assignments and such. If anyone has an opinion I’d like to hear it.

I’ve seen a few good specials on laptops on Newegg, etc that meet my requirements. Black Friday’s coming up and the prices are supposed to be even lower, or so they say.
Should I buy the laptops I see now or should I wait in case an even better deal comes along?

Apple’s computers are always so expensive compared to normal laptops, and lets be honest they’re nothing very special.
So, do you think they should lower the prices?

Its kindof a stupid question but what would you put?

I notice that my laptops keys are a little oily looking from the oil that might be on your fingers ect. I really need to clean the keys but I am afraid of what to use on it cause I don’t want to damage the laptop.

I’m doing a thing in school for this class and we had to come up with a good debate topic and i picked this one and i need reasons why students should have laptops insted of books!
