I ran Nortan Anti-virus and I got this message for this file. All it does is let me review it. I cant remove this file. I already tried to boot it in safe mode and take off system restore and ran a scan that way but the same message came up.
Any ideas or anything?
My other computer running Windows XP got a virus. Most programs won’t open or won’t work. System Restore doesn’t work, the virus won’t let any anti-virus software open, and I can’t boot the computer in safe mode. I have the Windows XP recovery disc but I’m not sure how to use it or if it’ll fix it. How can I remove the virus?
I can’t run malwarebytes. It won’t open.
um.. well
1) i have no idea what type of virus it is. ( may be trojan)
2) i did the malwarebytes scan……3 times
3)i used the spybot scan 3 times and it removed some things but my computer is still infected.
4) i put my computer on safe mode when i did these scans and i also did these scans when my computer was in "normal mode"
can someone help me?
I have no antivirus programs right now, no recovery disks, and no internet access because it says its harmful. i can go to to safe mode though.. i have windows xp plz help!
I have a virus and have tried to start my computer in safe mode. However, it states it cannot find my cable internet system. I cannot afford to put my computer in the shop. Is there anything more I can do?
Okay so, a few days ago my computer had a Virus. It was using my email proxy to send out mass mailings to other computers(probably viruses). Norton was then scanning all the 100′s of messages and declining them. So here’s what I did:
Turned off system restore
restarted the computer in safe mode
ran Norton anti-virus
removed 32 viruses
deleted all temp. files
deleted all cookies
emptied recycling bin
then restarted computer to get it out of safe mode.(the only way I knew how to do that)
Okay…after that…computer ran great for a day.
Then took a crash again. Mouse and keyboard wouldn’t work. All the mass mailing were in progress again. ggrrrr! And now it is somewhat working. All the icons on the bottom of the screen look really different. A few times when I clicked the Icon for IE it said there were not enough sources to open it. ????
What is all this about??
What can I do to fix this big mess without having to pay someone to do it??
Please help!! Thanks again!
I used ESET Nod32 in safe mode and it said my ntuser.dat file had a virus in it but it was unable to remove it. How could I clean it?
I got a malware virus that calls it self " Anti Viral Pro" and its icon is a green shield. I have tryed entering safe mode and running CCleaner then doing a scan with Malwarebytes but it told me nothing was wrong. I tryed another malware scanner and it found the virus but it wouldn’t remove it unless I payed the site . Is there any other way to remove this annoying virus without paying for it?
I have a dell inspiron 1500, and it must have a virus. It first started shutting itself of and back on again, now the only thing it does it load up the dell screen and then goes to a black screen with a blip on it. I’ve tried all the f keys to try and get into safe mode and it wont let me do anything but run diagnostics and go to the set up page… Is there anything i can do? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
