I had changed my server over to an old laptop so I can use my desktop again. This laptop server works surprisingly well. The laptop is running Windows Server 2003 and is our domain controller, web server, print server, file server, and e-mail server. All of the network activity that goes through this server is wireless. Thanks for watching!

Our cable Internet connection was set up on my laptop. I then bought a wireless router. I have an HP running Windows VISTA. My roommate has a Dell laptop about four years old running Windows XP. She wants to connect to the Internet. I have a wireless network set up for the router. What does she need to do? She tried going under “Connect to” and no wireless networks showed up.
I have a Toshiba laptop with Vista and a Gateway with Windows7. The Gateway has no internal disc drive.
I want to install Microsoft Office from CDs and I’m hoping I can do it by using the disc drive in my Toshiba and networking with the Gateway.
Will this work? Does anyone know how I should go about doing this please?
I want to have my laptops to have the ability of networking. I bought one of those little netbooks and now I want to be able to use the cd-drive from my big laptop and be able to install stuff on my small laptop. Is there any way I can do this without a router?
At present I am connected to cable broadband, then through my desktop I have a wireless router connected. We have 2 byte hungry kids at home and was wondering if I could shape the amount and speed that is delivered to their laptops. I was hoping there would be some software out there that was easy to configure.
