Basically I am looking for old laptops to run basic command line prompts, however for a price under $30. Does anyone know of any scrap sites selling ancient, yet still operational computers?

Is it possible for 2 wifi enabled laptops to communicate with one another(share files, run programs ect.) wirelessly when they are close together without the use of a router or another form of wired network?

What’s a good laptop to buy that’s cheap? I really only need a laptop that can connect to the internet. I don’t need much memory or download space, since the only program I’d be downloading is MSN Messenger.

I pay monthly for cable internet for my desktop pc, I have 2 laptops that I need to connect to the service because I am not picking up wireless signal, I know they have wireless routers and cards…what is the best way to do this and what all do I need to buy?
