Here’s my new gigging machine. The capacity for Dual Hard Drives and a robust build were the big selling points on this machine. Still playing with lighting and video settings on the new HD camera so forgive my lighting and color contrasts.

Are laptops good with external hard drives?
If I get a external HDD, it would be disconnected frequently since I move around a lot.

What brand hard drives come in the current dell studio 1555 laptops? I know it is 320 GB 5400 RPM stock just wondering what brand it is.

I have two laptops, one works perfectly, and one has graphic card issues. A refurbished card is around $770.00. I want to buy a new laptop to replace the old one but salvage the files etc., from the… well you get the drift. Can this be done with only a little computer knowledge? Do I run any risk to the main laptop in doing this?
