Whats the differnce between Vostro Laptops, and Latitude Laptops? because i want to buy a good one that has a Duo Prossesor!

I am about to buy a new laptop to go to uni with, and I have no clue what the difference is between a normal laptop, a net book and a notebook. They are all types of laptops so whats the best to get?

I am looking at a Toshiba M205-S4806 and A205-S612 series laptop. I was just curious as to the difference between the M and the A series laptops. So far the only difference I can see has to do with the “Lightscribe” DVD/CD etching program and the 20 gig HD difference (200 vs. 250). I only need this computer for word processing, email, internet, and music. Any help is much appreciated.
