I have drive C,D and E..but only i want to reformate my C drive…..But how can i get the program which now formated…it rebuiild in windows XP CD..or i ve to manage all the driver software ?

Hi I was wondering if connecting my laptop to my roommates PC will let me remove the virus manually? The virus has blocked access to her C drive and also blocked access to the internet. I don’t know what else to do short of formatting and reinstalling the OS which she does not want.

So is it possible for me to remove it with this method or am I going in the complete wrong direction?

My computer has no anti-virus program. The McAfee has expired. I need to install a new progam, but I can’t do it from the internet because it killed my connection. I don’t see my c:/ drive on the screen, but when i go to the start menu, I can find it and click explore to see it. Would i be able to buy a disc to remove the virus, since i can’t do it through the internet?
