If I reboot my computer to a time in the past, will that remove a keylogger virus?

Yesterday I accessed a keylogger virus without knowing it. I dont have Norton or anything so all I could do is run free scans, which arent helping my situation at all. My question is, if I reboot my computer to lets say 1 week back, will that get rid of the keylogger?
If not, how can I remove this keylogger? Thanks in advance.

It is unlikely to help as most viruses these days put a copy of themselves in your system restore also.
Your better off getting some help from experts, take a look at the link in my sig for a link to free help.
Download Microsoft’s own antivirus (it’s free). http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
Changing the computer’s date / time to the past doesn’t delete the virus.
Doing a system restore may fix the problem, but quite likely won’t. No harm in trying though. If it doesn’t work, try Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware:

Do a full scan, it should detect it.
If you are restoring the computer to a past point it could remove it. However it would be best if you used antiviruse software or spyware removal programs.
Use this website and try and remove it: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=139681
Most viruses and Spyware now hide themselves into your System32 folder, so doing a system restore will not remove it.
try downloading Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and run full-system scans with both of them.
boot computer and tap the F8 key repeatedly then choose safemode with networking open browser and go to safety.live.com that is microsoft’s online virus scanner run protection scan then run the cleanup scanner it’s free…or use another computer go to Avira.com and download a rescue disk it’s free then set your bios to boot from cd/dvd and run the antivirus before anything can boot…Pandasecurity.com offers one it’s free

What you are talking about is probably the system restore feature.
After you have restored the computer to a previous state, you will need to turn off system restore, because system restore may back up the keylogger, then you will need to create new system restore points, so you can restore your system again if something goes wrong.
You need to use an antivirus software, if you haven’t got one.
Get this one
Microsoft Security Essentials
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
You may need to use malwarebytes antimalware and superantispyware
Malwarebytes antimalware
http://malwarebytes.org/
Superantispyware
http://superantispyware.com/
Or else you can just download and install Malwarebytes antimalware and superantispyware, but do it in safe mode with networking
Install both of them in safe mode, update them, run a full scan with both of them (NB do not run both of them at once), and remove anything found, you may need to turn off system restore before you remove them
Probably not, depending on the type of keylogger it is, a lot of them hide themselves very efficiently. If you’ve scanned with anti-virus and cant find anything then download SuperAntiSpyware (http://www.superantispyware.com/) and scan with that.
If that doesn’t find anything and your not willing to re-format your computer then use anti-keylogger software (can be expensive). PrivacyKeyboard is meant to be the best and Zemana is also meant to be very good (which is a lot cheaper). Theres some reviews of anti-keylogger software here:

Personally, I think the best way to deal with any malware or virus is to use the services offered by one of the many free computer support forums.
Follow the instructions in the link below and a trained analyst will check your logs, help you sort it out for free and give you advice on keeping your computer clean in the future
If you cannot complete any of the steps, let the analyst know and he will advise you what to do next.
