Good (cheap) Laptops?

OK so I’m thinking of buying a laptop, mainly for doing school work (essays and what not) but also a good gaming system. Just for my games like NFSMW, GMod, Half Life, stuff like that. Basicly something cheap (under 1000) good graphics card, and something good for er, homework
