does it normally take hours, and hours to remove an anti virus?

I went into the control panel to remove the anti virus because I have two running at the same time. That was over three hours ago, and it’s still saying wait while windows configures the anti virus.

Delete the AV Product manually….
Go to start > search > all files and folders…then use the name of the product as a search …and target "C" drive…then click search…once the first search is done…click on all hidden files and folders also….when the scan is complete…click on finished searching….then click on each file or folder associated with the AV product you want to remove and delete them by clicking on each one..and click delete in the left window pane task……
If your using Norton…..Make sure to use Norton, Symantec, and Live Update as search items
It is possible but more than likely this is being caused as a result of you having two antivirus software accompanied by the fact you didn’t use the uninstall tool for the av you are removing. Always use the respective uninstall tool when uninstalling antivirus software.*
i use revo uninstaller
Both antiviruses are active in memory? If so disable the real time protection of the antivirus you want to remove, then try to remove it from the control panel or by using CCleaner.
